Three months off work is usually the mark

Most policies expect you to have been unable to work for around three months.

If that is you, you are either eligible now or close to it. It costs nothing to find out, and knowing early matters — the medical evidence is easier to get right before anyone has written the wrong report.

You may be covered without knowing

TPD cover is attached to most superannuation accounts by default.

People find out they had it years after they stopped work. Others find their fund closed the account for inactivity and the cover went with it. Either way, it is worth checking rather than assuming.

How a claim runs

  1. Step 1Free claim check

We look at your super and tell you plainly whether you have cover.

  2. Step 2We gather your medical evidence

We tell your doctors what the fund actually needs the report to address.

  3. Step 3We lodge and manage the claim

We deal with the insurer and the fund, so that you do not have to.

  4. Step 4Settlement

If the claim is accepted, the benefit is paid out and we explain what it means for tax.
